HiTPLAY is a production team consisting of Emmy winning veteran Producer/Composer Joe Hogue, aka “JOJOHO”, and Sean Petersen. Combined, Hogue and Petersen have over 25 years of experience working with artists, such as Michael McDonald, Roy Orbison, Donna Summer, Faith Evans, Take 6 and many more. Hogue has worked on 3 Grammy Awarded albums including Bebe & Cece Winans- Different Lifestyles and Handel’s Messiah- A Soulful Celebration. Most notably, He produced DC Talk’s Grammy winning “Rock Gospel Album of the Year” Free at Last. Altogether, Hogue has been a part of 13 Gold and 5 RIAA certified Platinum albums, as well as, 6 Grammy album nominations.
Also, as a composer Hogue won an Emmy Award for composing A&E’s “Biography Theme” and, in total, he has received 5 Emmy nominations. Hogue and Petersen have been in collaboration for 6 years and together co-own and operate, HiTPLAY Productions LLC. Collectively, as HiTPLAY, they are proficiently diverse in virtually every genre (pop, rock, r&b, funk, classical, dance, electronica, gospel and more). Most importantly, HiTPLAY is passionate about each piece of music they create. Humbly realizing the power of music, Hogue and Petersen only seek to create music which moves the soul.
